My few attempts at doing art as a child were disastrous. I concluded that I could not do it. Many years later, I set out to write my first novel. The hero was to be a painter, so I knew that I had to acquire firsthand knowledge of what being a painter was all about. I learned about the Schuler School of Fine Art, and enrolled in their program…just to do research. But, to my amazement I opened the door on my old desires; thanks to some exceptional teachers, I learned that I could do it after all. It became a passion. I completed the full five-year course.

I accomplished my original goal. I finished and published the novel. But an entirely new world had opened for me. I have now sold many paintings, drawings and sculpture. How amazing!
